Medical Imaging
Digital X-Rays
When your pet needs an X-Ray, safety is key. We offer digital radiography that delivers clear images for diagnosis. Digital X-Rays are fast, highresolution and help spot many problems. We may recommend an X-Ray for:
- Dental health, teeth and jawbones
- Bone fractures or injury from trauma
- Ingested foreign objects
- Tumors
In addition to using X-rays to diagnose issues, they can also be used to monitor a variety of issues including pneumonia, heart conditions, and cancer.
Dental X-Rays
Dental X-Rays are a vital component of your pet’s dental care. They reveal the condition of teeth and gums beneath the surface, where problems often remain hidden. Digital dental X-Rays enable us to detect tooth decay, periodontal disease, and root infections that may not be apparent during a routine oral exam.
Ultrasounds
Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to create real-time images of your pet’s internal organs. This safe and painless procedure allows our veterinarians to examine the heart, liver, kidneys, and other soft tissues in great detail. Ultrasounds are especially useful for diagnosing conditions such as tumors, cysts, and organ abnormalities, as well as monitoring pregnancies. By providing valuable information without the need for surgery, ultrasounds help us make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans for your pet.
CT Scans
CT scans give detailed crosssection images of your pet’s body. The scan mixes X-Ray data with computer processing to show internal structures. It helps identify orthopedic problems, tumors, injuries and some brain disorders. These images let our veterinarian diagnose and plan treatment. We work with Mobile Animal CT to bring that modality of diagnostics to our clinic. Visit our patner website at https://www.facebook.com/mobileanimalct.
Electrocardiograms
An ECG for a pet is a routine, safe test that records the heart’s electrical activity. The test is painless and gives us data to guide treatment.
If we suggest an ECG, it doesn’t automatically mean a serious heart problem. We may order it to check a hardtohear rhythm, monitor irregular beats, see how a medication affects the heart, prepare for anesthesia, investigate fainting or breathing signs, or confirm imaging results.
We’re here to answer any questions you have about any diagnostics modality we offer. Schedule your appointment today. Call us at 818-532-7434 today.
